Topic: Introduction to King County’s New Permitting Process

Speakers: David Price & Nick Flusher, King County Seattle Public Health 

Dave Price serves as the Assistant Chief Plumbing Inspector for the jurisdiction of Seattle and Unincorporated King County. He brings extensive experience from his prior career a mechanical and plumbing systems designer in the Seattle area. Since joining King County Public Health in 2022, Dave has led technical efforts within the Plumbing & Gas Piping program, where he is responsible for code compliance research, interpretation of code intent, and guidance on code development and practical design applications. He also represents the program in industry engagement through his role as Vice President-Legislative for the Seattle chapter of ASPE and as the lead editor of the King County Plumbing & Gas Piping Program newsletter.

Nick Flusher is a King County Public Health plumbing inspector working as a plan reviewer. He is a certified Cross Connection Control Specialist and holds an ARCSA rainwater system inspection certification. Nick joined King County in 2023 after being initially trained as a plumbing professional in the Air Force and working locally as a commercial Journey level plumber.
